The Worcester County Library has received a grant to conduct THE BIG READ in our community. The goal of THE BIG READ is to encourage literary reading and reading for pleasure and enlightenment. The link on the left shows the events planned for our BIG READ, based on The Shawl by Cynthia Ozick. We hope you will attend as many events as possible and that you will enjoy your experiences. The Big Read is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts, in partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and in cooperation with Arts Midwest. Pick up your copy of The Shawl at any Worcester County branch library after February 1.
