Crocheted Rug Making
Tuesdays, September 19 & 26 - 1 pm
Location: Ocean City Branch
In this two-part class you will learn to make crocheted rugs like our grandmother used to make using strips of extra fabric from other projects. These rugs are versatile and beautiful! Please bring strips of 1 1/2 inches of scrap fabric and a size N crochet hook to the class. Please register at the Ocean City branch by calling 410-524-1818. 15 participants.

Teddy Roosevelt: from Rough Rider to President

Meet Teddy Roosevelt! He will share stories full of great adventure, humor, & a positive message. This program is presented by Historian & TV actor Brian Patrick Mulligan. He has performed around the country portraying Teddy Roosevelt for over 15 years. As an actor he has guest starred on Scandal, The Office, Castle, Hannah Montana, & more.

Haunted Library at Ocean City
Thursday-Saturday, October 26th-28th - 4-7pm
Location: Ocean City Branch
Our third annual Haunted Library featuring our fearful labyrinth will be held on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, October 26-28th. On Thursday and Friday, the 26th and 27th, come anytime between 4 & 7 pm to experience the thrills and chills of our transformed meeting room. Saturday the 28th, the maze will be open during our Halloween party from 11-3. The first 30 survivors escape with a free book.

OC Halloween Party!

Come in costume and trick-or-treat around the library. We will have games, snacks, crafts, and our haunted maze will still be up and running! All ages are welcome.

November 11th-14th is Homeless Awareness Week so for our Feel Good Friday program we are going to help those in need. Come and assemble Blessing Bottles to be delivered to the homeless around Worcester County. We'll provide the bottles and you help us fill them up! Call for a list of supplies needed or stop by the branch anytime.

Junk Journaling

A junk journal is a handmade book made up of recycled items such as papers from magazines, brochures, patterned paper, music sheets, envelopes, packaging, brown paper bags, maps, greeting cards, post cards, and doilies, to name a few. The book covers can be made from cereal boxes, old book covers or any hard card boards. The popularity of these expressions of self is spiraling across the country!

Family Night! “Special Deliveries”

Letters have been a way of communicating and expressing gratitude towards each other. Come writer a letter to a solider or to someone else you care about. We will decorate our letters and get them sent overseas to be read by real soldiers! Refreshments will be provided.
