Victoria Christie-Healy, the club organizer has been knitting since childhood. Victoria and her husband and business partner Mike Healy relocated to Ocean Pines in March of 2015. Her career as a knitting teacher started at the Reston Community Center in 2009 and grew over the next four years to several other community centers in Northern Virginia. She has taught several hundred women (and some men) how to knit. She conducts several knitting retreats a year in Ireland.

Genealogy Workshop: From Basics to Research
Wednesday, March 8 - 10 am - 12 pm

These lessons will include a brief session of instruction followed by a time for questions and answers as well as discussion about any topic concerning genealogy. This session you will learn how to organize your records and cut down on paper clutter. Learn about digitizing documents and photos and organizing the files so you can easily search. Writing For Wellness

Are you suffering from an illness or grieving the loss of a loved one? Research has shown that writing about stressful experiences is therapeutic and promotes physical and emotional healing. Writing exercises are used to stimulate the process for creative expression. No prior writing experience is necessary. This class is facilitated by Ashley Jones.

Election 2016 Redux: A Look Back and Forward

This is a three-part series presented by Dr. Samuel B. Hoff. Dr. Hoff is George Washington Distinguished Professor of History and Political Science and Law Studies Director at Delaware State University. In addition to his research accomplishments, he has written hundreds of opinion columns for regional and local newspapers. He is an eight-time independent candidate for president who as a political scientist has covered the election news for national and regional television stations.

Part I: This segment will concentrate on the nomination sequence of the 2016 presidential election. After reviewing pre-2016 influences, the session traces the
Democratic and Republican nomination contests and the party conventions.
