  • Diversity Photo Contest - Chose Civility
    In celebration of the Chose Civility program, the library is sponsoring a photography contest for Worcester County students grades 6 - 12. We are seeking digital photographs or a photo collage that express diversity and what it means to the student. This can be a single photo, a photo collage, or another creation that using photography to express the desired theme. Along with the photo, contestants are asked to submit a brief description that explains "tells the story" of the photograph. The contest is open to all high schools students residing in Worcester County.

    To enter, send photographs to "contact@worcesterlibrary.org" with the subject line" Diversity Photo Contest. Include your name, school, grade, phone number, and brief description.

    Judging - the evaluation of any art form is a subjective process. Our judges will base their decision on theme (60%), composition (20%), and technique (20%). Winning entries will be shared on the library's website and social media platforms.

    Prizes 1st Place - $150 Amazon Gift Card / 2nd Place - $100 Amazon Gift Card / 3rd Place - $50 Amazon Gift Card

    Contest Deadline - Monday, April 30, 2018, 5 pm EST

  • 2018 Adult Reading Challenge
    all year - any time

    Location: Snow Hill Branch
    Stop by the library in January to pick up a checklist for our 2018 Adult Reading Challenge. Check off categories as you complete them, and come back to the library to be eligible for prizes!

  • Yoga
    Thursdays, April 5 through May 10 - 4:45 pm

    Location: Snow Hill Branch
    Come relax with us every Thursday. Instructor, Carol Pike, will guide us through meditation. The program is limited to 20 participants. Please call the Snow Hill Branch at 410-632-3495 to register.

  • Rubber Band Crafts
    Monday, April 23 through Saturday, April 28 - any time

    Location: Snow Hill Branch
    Come in any time during open hours for activities and crafts made from rubber bands. For children ages 5 and up.

  • Snow Hill Book of the Month - “The Round House” by Louise Erdrich
    Wednesday, April 25 - 5:30 pm

    Location: Snow Hill Branch
    Join us for monthly book discussion from a rousing range of genres ranging from science fiction to historical, classics to YA - facilitated by Cassandra Dasher, Snow Hill library staff. Copies of the book are available at the Snow Hill branch in advance.
