Victoria Christie-Healy, the club organizer has been knitting since childhood. Victoria and her husband and business partner Mike Healy relocated to Ocean Pines in March of 2015. Her career as a knitting teacher started at the Reston Community Center in 2009 and grew over the next four years to several other community centers in Northern Virginia. She has taught several hundred women (and some men) how to knit. She conducts several knitting retreats a year in Ireland.

Thanks to success of last year’s program, we are having our 2nd Annual Ocean City Iron Chef Competition. Come compete for prizes (first place and runner up) by making a gourmet dish with the provided ingredients. All supplies provided, for ages 8 and up.

Library Staff Training
Wednesday, August 9, 2017
The Berlin, Ocean Pines, and Pocomoke Branch Libraries will be closed to the public on Wednesday, August 9 so library staff may participate in new catalog training. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Two Worcester County Library branches, Ocean City and Snow Hill will be open from 1 - 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9 and book drops at all five library locations will be available.

Super Hero Day
Wednesday, August 9, 2017 - 2pm
Location: Ocean City Branch
Come dressed as your favorite super hero. Take your picture at our Photo-op wall. Enjoy some super hero snacks. For children ages 3 and up.

Research has shown that writing about stressful experiences, like illness, may boost health & psychological well-being. Group uses exercise to stimulate the process for creative expression. No prior writing experience needed. This program is facilitated by Andrea Schlottman.
