We're Fine Free

Worcester County Library has joined a growing number of libraries that do not charge fines for overdue materials; we are now one of six systems in Maryland without fines. By removing fines, the Library furthers its mission to promote reading, thinking, learning, and the enjoyment of the arts.

Job and Resource Fair set for March 16

The Worcester County Library is hosting a free Job and Resource Fair on Wednesday, March 16th from 3-6 pm at the Berlin branch (13 Harrison Avenue). This event is made possible in partnership with the American Job Center, Maryland Department of Education: Division of Rehabilitation Services, and the Ocean Pines Chamber of Commerce.  For more information on this event, please contact Elena Coelho at 443-783-6164 or ecoelho@worcesterlibrary.org. The Early Childhood Family Engagement Framework Toolkit: Maryland’s Vision for Engaging Families with Young Children, was developed through funding with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. New Americans Corner

Welcome New Americans!  All five branches of the Worcester County Library have added citizenship resources to their collections and created a “New Americans Corner.”  Access to study materials, including practice books and flash cards, as well forms and applications from the U.S.

NEA Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.  Worcester County Library Foundation is honored to be one of 78 communities selected as an NEA Big Read recipient.  The Library Foundation celebrates the National Book Award Winner In the Heart of the Sea: The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex by Nathaniel Philbrick with many events.
