Preventing Diabetes in Worcester County
The Worcester County Health Department was awarded a grant from CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield to launch a robust diabetes prevention program for our community. The Health Department is bringing organizations from around the County to offer programs relating to nutrition and wellness, cooking demonstrations, and walking groups. Programs will be offered at the branch libraries and other partner locations.

It is one of a number of Prevention Programs that promote healthy practices to support a happy and healthy lifestyle.
