The Romanian Library Corner has been established with funding and support from Romanians of Washington, DC and in partnership with the Worcester County Library. The books will be housed at the Ocean City and Berlin Branches but accessible for checkout not only in Worcester County but across the entire Eastern Shore of Maryland. Featuring over 160 titles, the collection primarily includes books in Romanian, along with several bilingual editions designed for young children.

Worcester County Library is excited to announce new Seed Libraries available at the Berlin, Pocomoke, and Snow Hill branches. This service is part of the Cooking up Health: A Nourishing Neighbors Program, a robust diabetes prevention program developed by the Worcester County Health Department. A huge thank you to CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield for funding the Cooking up Health Project for our community.

The Seed Library is a fun – and free – way to try planting your very own garden.

Step Back in Time with Living History - Tuesday, July 14

The Worcester County Library invites the community to step back in time and celebrate the nation's 250th anniversary with two free living history performances on Tuesday, July 14. Visit the Mar-Va Theater in Pocomoke at 11:00 am to relive the War of 1812 with Rosalie Calvert (Rosalie of Riversdale) through the Battle of Bladensburg, the burning of Washington, and the creation of "The Star-Spangled Banner," in a performance sponsored by the Junior Women's Club of Pocomoke City.
